Allegations Against NASS, PRODA, BPP, Ministry Of Science False, Fictitious
Allegations versus Project Development Institute (PRODA), Countrywide Assembly, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and Federal Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation has been declared untrue, fictitious and faux.
The Coalition of Civil Culture Organisations in Nigeria (COCSON) stated this in Abuja on Thursday.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the Government Secretary of the team, Engr Tijani Ali Danjuma, mentioned that in advance of they drew conclusion that the allegations in opposition to the establishments have been not proper, they embarked on an unbiased conclusions to unravel the truth powering the challenges.
He said, “having critically observed the ongoing accusations by Daniel Onjeh from Job Development Institute (PRODA), National Assembly, Bureau of Community Procurement (BPP) and Federal Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation.
“The Coalition of Civil Culture Organisations in Nigeria (COCSON) made a decision to embark on an impartial conclusions to unravel the real truth driving the brickbat.
“Sequel to quite a few allegations levelled from the Previous Board Chairman of PRODA, Mr Daniel Onjei by the Administration of PRODA and Contractors and the accusations from the former Director Common of PRODA by Dr Daniel Onjeh and other former customers of the Governing Board of PRODA, the then Director Common, Dr Charles Agulana, was suspended and Daniel Onjeh was also questioned to phase aside by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) pending the final result of the conclusions of the investigation.
“It is important to emphasize right here that the Federal Ministry of Science, Engineering and Innovation (FMSTI) in no way questioned these individuals to phase apart but were requested to do so by the President by means of the Business office of the Secretary to the Government of The Federation (OSGF).”
COCSON also reacted to the allegation that Dr Chima Igwe’s certification is false, incorporating that some bodies have investigated and discovered that his certification is suitable.

“In response to the earlier mentioned allegation, the FIIRO Governing Board wrote to the Universited’Abomey-Calavi, Benin Republic by the Nigerian Embassy in Benin Republic requesting for a verification of the Ph.D certificate and entry to his formal transcript. “The Universited’Abomey-Calavi, Benin Republic replied on the verification of certificate request and even more sent his tutorial records by way of the similar Embassy of Nigeria in Benin Republic which wrote to FIIRO Governing Board vacating and proving the allegations to be incorrect and false. Relevant data are available.
“The FIIRO Governing Board acknowledged the receipt of the letter from Embassy of Nigeria, Benin Republic ‘of the verified Ph.D certification of Mr. C.C. Igwe transmitted by the Abomey-Calavi University, Republic of Benin’ through a letter dated 1st April, 2019 and signed by the then Director-Basic/CEO, FIIRO, Prof. G.N. Elemo (Secretary, Governing Board, FIIRO). The letter is readily available.
“This issue was also taken to ICPC by FMSTI for investigation and in a letter dated 11th September, 2019, by the Impartial Corrupt Techniques and Other Associated Offences Commission (ICPC) to the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Science and Technological know-how, Dr. Chima Igwe was cleared of the allegations of holding and forging a Ph.D certification. The letter is also, obtainable.
“That ICPC concluded in their letter of clearance of Dr Chima Igwe: ‘Consequently, allegation that he forged his Ph.D Certificate was not substantiated as it is discovered that he attained all his certificates in accordance with laid down method.
“That the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) confirmed that the Ph.D certification in chemistry awarded to Dr Chima Igwe in 3rd July, 2002, is equivalent to a doctorate diploma awarded by any Nigerian university in a very similar field of examine.”
