High school, non-profit team up to raise money for black bear education, habitat conservation

A nearby school has teamed up with an environmental team to elevate dollars for black bear schooling and habitat defense in Southwest Florida.

Palmetto Ridge Significant School is performing with the Florida Wildlife Federation and 22 artists from the Naples location to make a collection of items that will be bought at auction commencing Monday.

Alonso grew up in Bonita Springs, attended the College of Florida and moved back to Southwest Florida to operate on her art.
