Ministry of Education is looking to revise the primary education curriculum says PEARL Coordinator

–The Ministry of Education is stated to be hunting to revise the principal instruction curriculum. That is according to the Nation Coordinator of the OECS Software for Instructional Improvement and Relevant Finding out (OECS PEARL) job, Mrs. Charlene White- Christian.
Released in 2021, with a cost of USD $10 million and funded by the International Partnership for Schooling (GPE) the challenge seeks to enhance the top quality of educating and studying in the OECS region, specially in light of the detrimental impacts of the pandemic on the instruction sector.
Mrs. White- Christian was joined on an education and learning radio system with the other Region Coordinator Mrs. Stephanie Darroux- Baron, in which she mentioned that consultations will before long be performed with many stakeholders.
“We are now seeking at guaranteeing that students have the most effective curriculum, and that is in which the OECS harmonized key faculties curriculum arrives in. So, correct now there are consultations that are going to materialize as it relates to the curriculum. Christian revealed that these consultations are not only staying carried out in Dominica, but is also being completed in all the other OECS international locations. She indicated that they are presently revising the curriculum along with the consultations.
“Along with the consultations, we are presently revising the curriculum, so that is in which the application in which we have around 60 instructors from across the area, who are involved in this application which is mainly staying completed by the Eastern Caribbean Joint Board of Schooling, and they are presently analyzing the current curriculum,” Christian mentioned.
The Country Coordinator mentioned that they are hoping that a new curriculum can be created from this course of action, that will advantage pupils in the OECS area.
“After this analysis is done, we are hoping that a new curriculum can be created in the 4 main regions: English, Arithmetic, Science and Social Scientific studies,” Region Coordinator of the OECS PEARL challenge, Mrs. Charlene White- Christian indicated.
