The Early Childhood Schooling (ECE) project run by the Tanzania Teachers’ Union (TTU) and Education and learning Global has, between the achievements, led to 352 educators getting a diploma in early childhood education  soon after going through a two-year in-company class.  The graduation ceremony took location on 21 December 2020 in Dodoma, Tanzania.

Dubbed “Developing Educators, improving upon early studying in Rural Tanzania: Chemba and Mpwapwa districts’’, the undertaking was funded by Comic Reduction (CR) and executed by TTU in collaboration with Training Global (EI). The task ran for a duration of 4 many years, from January 2017 to December 2020.

In the class of the venture, a Competence Profile for ECE Educators was developed to elevate specialist training standards for ECE educators. Proof- primarily based advocacy products were also created. The venture has enabled ECE Educators to bear intensive professional improvement schooling and enhanced their skill to put together and use domestically designed training elements. The ECE educators had been skilled in little one-centred methodologies these kinds of as learning as a result of play and the amount of ECE children in the goal universities has elevated.

Although problems ended up encountered throughout the implementation of the project, quite a few people together with ECE educators, frontline workers (lecturers and tutors), and TTU leaders benefited immensely from the task.

This undertaking is a excellent illustration of the tremendous job played by educators and their unions to increase teaching and studying. It owes its success to TTU and EI’s efficient coordination and the assistance of all key companions, like University of Tanzania (OUT), Mpwapwa and Bustani Teachers’ Schooling schools, the Ministry of Instruction Science and Engineering (MOEST), President’s Workplace, Regional Administration and Area Federal government (PO-RALG),  Nationwide Council for Specialized Education and learning (NACTE), Tanzania Institute of Training (TIE), The District Govt Administrators (DED), District Education Officers (DEOs), Tanzania Instruction Community (10/Met), and  classroom instructors and faculty leaders.
