Award goes to Julie Pagan of Soaring Heights in Joplin

JOPLIN, Mo. — The Joplin R-8 Faculty District introduced the latest recipient of the Regional Elementary Trainer of the Yr award for southwest Missouri.

That award goes to Soaring Heights Elementary, specific education instructor, Julie Pagan.

Mrs. Pagan has been an educator with Joplin Educational facilities for 8 yrs, and has served at Soaring Heights for the previous 6 several years.

“Pagan is a dedicated, caring educator who epitomizes college student-first servant management. She sets the tone for professionalism and pragmatism in our creating, and would make us all try to be greater educators. We are so privileged to call her an Eagle,” mentioned Soaring Heights Principal, Katy Booher.

This is not the initially award for Pagan.

In April of 2022, she was named as the “Fred Laas, Instructor of the Year” for Joplin Colleges.

Employees and directors at Soaring Heights nominated Pagan, noting her exemplary commitment, compassion and work ethic.

Pagan is a single of 34 regional instructors who been given the Teacher of the Yr award for Missouri in 2022, all of whom will be invited and identified at the Missouri State Teacher of the 12 months Awards Banquet in October, which is sponsored by the Missouri Office of Elementary and Secondary Education and learning.

“We are extremely happy of Julie and her accomplishments. Her do the job in the classroom each day exemplifies her determination to her learners and their education. We wish her the best as she proceeds on in the Trainer of the Yr application,” claimed Joplin Educational facilities Superintendent, Dr. Kerry Sachetta.
