Instructors endure higher career-related pressure than other industry experts, according to the Nationwide Basis for Instructional Study (NFER).
With pupil figures rising and an growing proportion of instructors leaving the job, the report discovered that one particular in five felt tense about their task most or all of the time, when compared with 13% of those people in comparable occupations.
While teachers’ operating hours across the year were comparable to those people in other professions, doing the job intensively around fewer months of the yr led to a poorer perform-life stability and greater stress amounts, the NFER noticed.
Dr Mary Bousted, joint common secretary of the Nationwide Training Union, reported the report echoed the longstanding problems about the anxieties faced by teachers.
