West Bloomfield School District names new superintendent

The West Bloomfield School District Board of Instruction voted unanimously Monday to employ Dania Bazzi as the district’s next superintendent.

Bazzi is superintendent of Ferndale Public Educational facilities and was named superintendent of the yr by the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Directors in 2022. She was one of three candidates the West Bloomfield university board interviewed to replace Superintendent Gerald Hill, who is retiring.

Dania Bazzi begins her new role July 1, the school district said.
